Q. How do you arrive at your fee?
I charge an initial deposit and once a property has been found and contracts exchanged, I bill you the pre agreed 1.25% of the purchase price which is then paid via the solicitors at the same time as the property purchase. All fees are subject to VAT.
Q. What if after paying the registration fee, I decide not to move after all?
The initial fee is contractual; it covers expenses and is non-refundable. It is imperative, therefore, that you are totally committed to the whole process before agreeing to employ me.
Q. Do you know of properties that are not advertised or with estate agents?
Yes, I am approached occasionally by sellers who let me know their property is available; this is a huge advantage if it fits perfectly with the requirements of my client at the time.
